Acrylic paints

I’ve done this painting a while back, and I thought that sharing it this week would be a good idea.

(I have a ton of projects to work on. And I was not able to be extremely productive on the drawing/painting side of things.)

I solemly swear that I am up to no good :D

Well, I am working on something!! So technically I’m not idle πŸ˜› So, here is a “WIP” iona post

I participated in a drama piece to commemorate the Gretna Rail disaster that happened in Scotland 100 years ago. And the whole thing is so inspiring I thought I would draw each main character from the play. Starting with Iona.

Blue or Red?

I have been experimenting with watercolor quite a lot lately and drawing trees is a lot of fun.

blue or red

“You take the Blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the Red pill- you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

Which tree do you choose? πŸ˜›

Figure Drawing- Raw linseed oil

What a cool experiment :)!! I loved it.

I went in class today and saw the teacher playing about with thick paint brushes and some kind of “paint”? I later find out that its oil. I was not excited about it at first, the worry was occupying my face. After getting all my tools, boards and cloths, that was when the fun began!!

We started off by covering the entire piece of paper with the raw oil evenly, and I started touching and moving the oil around with my hands to understand what I should and could do… ( The girl next to me was wearing the most disgusted expression : ” I’m next to a pig!” xD jk, but it was quite funny to see how she was wondering what I was up to) I like it though, its an interesting medium.

I couldn’t get a better picture, I couldn’t bring the art piece at home 😦 but hopefully you get the idea

Talented masters- Master study

One of my friends brought an art book at college and I went all the way through it to catch the names of my favorite Artists. This is where I found Zorn Anders. He was such an amazing artist involved in painting, sculpting and printmaking. He has to be one of my favorite painters now, I love his use of colors!!! So this time I did not just work on values. πŸ˜‰

I tried experimenting with color as well. πŸ˜€

I will probably work on more masters study which will involve a lot more of Zorn’s creations!

Forest Painting, Interesting experiment :3

Forest painting

Craig brought a big Canvas and loads of paint and I had absolutely no idea what to do with it. Just turned out that I felt creative today, and despite having 100 projects I’m involved in already, I thought I would try something new. My animation was rendering (Still is)- and I had nothing to do. So, after hearing my mom ask for a drawing I thought… wow. Such Idea. I might as well paint something with Craig’s stuff.

I’m not much into painting landscape. I usually do portraits or doodles/ Figure drawings and caricatures. But I’m satisfied of how it turned out anyway… How difficult could it be to paint trees? I mean. Seriously.
