So please check it oot! ^__^ Comments and suggestions are welcome!
For the graded unit I’ve been thinking a lot more than actually doing, which I feel is no good. Discovering other cultures and atmosphere is always so helpful when creating a film or animation, and mood boards help collect ideas and references. I recommend using those! Above are some example of my mood boards. I do not have much time to talk about them but they’re pretty self explanatory.
It is good to always have a challenge, to feel like you have accomplished something afterwards and also to make you remember your days and stay optimistic. I would have liked to say “A sketch daily for 30 days” but I draw a lot for class already and believe it or not it takes quite a lot of energy.
So a pic daily it is!
Here is my first one.
Yes, it is Miku Hatsune. I thought that today was full of events, I have so many projects piled up I do not want to lose sight of what is going on. I thought that Miku with a stressed face would make me remember my homework to be done.- and yes, I kind of forgot about the challenge and remembered a few minutes ago.. had to come up with something
I have also been loving ARSMAGNA dancing onto vocaloid voices and songs, I have discovered them a few days ago.
There is just something about Japanese culture that I love, I know that sometimes vocaloid’s voices make you feel a bit sad but seeing those guys dance with so much chemistry and energy makes me want to be part of something and get better at everything I’m already good at. ARSMAGNA does not dance only, they include acting in their videos and each of them show different personalities. If they are going to some comic con nearby I would love to go see them! 🙂 And of course, if I get the chance I would love to visit Japan. I love their inside jokes and reaction, let’s not mention anime because I could go on forever.
That probably is the only picture I liked from photography last year… I had some nice pictures (which I will post later, explaining the tasks) but this one is the one I remember the most. The one I remember actually taking. Which leads me to the next Idea!
I thought that may be I should take on a daily CHALLENGE! Just because I feel like I dive so deep into my daily routine, I mix and shake all my days together, forgetting about the fun details- 🙂 Gives me more content for the Blog, so hopefully I will not miss out on another day!
We had homework that the teacher never looked for or even tried to check. So, I’m just going to share it with everybody.
Okay. These animation I must add are not Bvh motions that I downloaded from the internet, I actually tried studying the movements and having to act the specific movement myself to see how the body really moves. Of course, I am aware that these little animations are not perfect, but at least I tried. Here is the other one:
One thing I realized is; the action is really slow, I do not know whether I mess up the key frames or if it is the render/save that mess the animation up by slowing it down. With my previous animations I also encountered the same trouble, where some of the scenes are way too slow. I am thinking about changing the keyframes and making it go faster before rendering. Just to have the perfect timing.
Other than that, I am satisfied of the outcome. The animations are really short but I could always put something together on photoshop or after effects. I could even create my own Bvh motions. I can also add that I admire animators and artists who study movement and observe the shapes and muscle of any living thing to then recreate its movement in an animation. I understand that some of them use motion tracking devices just so the work goes faster, but being able to recreate a perfect natural looking movement is kind of hard. I’m just saying.
But even if animation is hard work and means a lot of stress, it really is a lot of fun and rewarding. You get to see your final creation and see your progress, and that is great \(^-^)/
